How We Killed FRSC Officer and Her Daughter
Police Arrest Key Suspects Behind Brutal Murder of FRSC Officer and 12-Year-Old Daughter
Shocking details have emerged regarding the gruesome murder of FRSC officer Lasisi Funmilayo and her 12-year-old daughter, after suspects arrested by the Osun State Police Command confessed to their roles in the crime.
The suspects, Fajemirokun Victor (38), an alleged lover of the deceased; herbalist Gboyega Aberefa (39); and his disciple, Sunday James (38) , narrated how the victims were lured, killed, and dismembered for alleged money rituals.
Police Commissioner: Investigation Began After Wife Reported Husband Missing
Osun State Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Gotan, briefed journalists on Wednesday, explaining that the case began when Fajemirokun’s wife reported him missing.
Her report led detectives to Ikoyi, where Fajemirokun was believed to have travelled. His vehicle was later recovered by the roadside, prompting further investigation by the Anti-Kidnapping Unit.
According to the CP, the breakthrough came on November 16, when the police arrested herbalist Aberefa, who revealed that Fajemirokun had brought the FRSC officer and her daughter to his shrine in Ijebu-Jesa on November 2, 2025, allegedly for a money ritual.
Two other suspects involved, identified as Kehinde and Idowu remain on the run.
Fajemirokun Confesses: “I Agreed She Should Be Killed”
While answering questions from journalists, Fajemirokun admitted he took Funmilayo to the herbalist after being told she was the cause of his “misery.”
“After taking her to the temple and I was told she has to be killed for me to make it in life, I agreed. But after the act, I became disturbed and ran away,” he said.
He explained that he fled to Ikoyi, abandoned his vehicle by the roadside, then moved to Ibadan, where he lied to residents that unknown persons were after him.
The suspects contributed money to help him escape, and he eventually fled to Ghana before being tracked down.
Herbalist: “He Brought the Woman and Her Daughter to Be Killed”
Herbalist Gboyega Aberefa also confessed, claiming Fajemirokun insisted both mother and daughter must be eliminated.
“He brought the woman and the daughter to my place and said she was behind his misery. He wanted to kill her in my house, but I refused,” he revealed.
Aberefa said he invited some of his boys, who then took the victims into a nearby bush.
“They slaughtered the mother and daughter, removed some vital parts, and dumped the mother’s body in a river at Esa-Odo. The daughter’s body was dumped in a bush,” he added.
Investigation Ongoing as Police Hunt Remaining Suspects
The Osun State Police Command has intensified efforts to arrest the remaining accomplices still at large.
Authorities also assured the public that justice will be served for the late FRSC officer and her daughter.
